They are ten to have distinguished themselves on a vintage of more than fifty talented, talented and passionate young girls who are the pride of Cameroon in basketball in the Junior category.
For a week, they are about fifty girls from the ten regions of Cameroon to have gathered in the political capital of Cameroon, Yaounde, for one and the same passion: basketball.
To date, the junior NBA Cameroon is the only junior category basketball tournament that brings together all mixed teams from Cameroon's 10 regions and places special emphasis on promoting women's basketball (quarter-time girls' entry). This event allowed us to detect these few talents that are part of the cuvée of more than fifty young girls prepared and ready to represent Cameroon in the next international competitions in category U16 and why not in Ladies.
Without wishing to undermine any region that has no context with equally promising talent, it is objectively and after consultation with the experts and coaches of basketball that we have established this ranking that highlights a small sample of the best prospects U16 Girls basketball in Cameroon.

5-Rébécca Aurelie Milla Assawoumi
Athletic is the appropriate word to define this young girl. Fast and powerful, Rebecca knows how to be one hundred percent on a court seeking for victory. From Tsapi Basketball Academy of Garoua, she began basketball when she was 8 years old, coached by Eric Tsapi. Two other coaches, Xavier Keye and Michel Noe Ndibang took her to the next step on her basketball’s development. Fighting spirit and sacrifice define well Rebecca, she can play four quarter non stop.What make her so strong is dedication on improving her skills, from personal training with coaches and more over playing with boys help her a lot. There were no surprise when she was awarded last season U’18 MVP of the year for the whole country.

4- Sema Ekah
Very good shooting mechanic and accuracy, very fast on the court, she has game for sure. She doesn’t fear at all, knows when to drive to the hoop or stop offenses. Sema learned basketball from coach Vincent Noah at Marie Claire Noah Basketball Academy at 11 years old. Every time she is on a court, it is another challenge for, she demonstrates exceptional quality and capacity to understand the games. Granted with a very high IQ basket, she improved in defense, what she was lacking the previous years. Sema was with Ntomb and Guiolobo the three nominated with most voted for the title of MVP of the year 2019 in the centre region of Cameroon.

3-Raphäela Mettomo
She plays as guard for Onyx basketball academy of Yaounde. Her maturity on a court is impressive. Calm and in the same time energetic, Raphaela possesses a very good shooting percentage. For Laurent Baleba, her coach in Onyx said :” she understands the game very quick, and knows what to do. We can count on her in all the defensive process, while know how to anticipate, switch, or help in defense”. Her first steps in the basketball were followed by the famous coach Louis Tsoungui, the owner and founder of Onyx basketball academy since she was 12. Raphaela strive to take 3 point shot when it is needed, with accuracy and efficiency.

2- Myriam Guiolobo
She is one of the most prolific and altruist point guards of this 2019’ s Jr. NBA. Her coach Laurant Baleba took her under his wing since the age of 9 to play for Fusee basketball academy. One of her best aptitude is the ability to read the game, and a very tuf decision making ability for a young girl, accuracy in 3 point shooting, these qualities that make coach Baleba so proud. This season, she was awarded MVP of the 2018/2019 basketball season in the centre region of Cameroon.

1- Gloria Ntomb
Full of energy and life, Gloria dompted the basketball court with her aggressivity and tenacity when it comes to attack the hoop. Since her 11, she is coached by François Enyegue and Gilles Mephu in Vogt Basketball Academy, Gloria has always been very tenacious and enthusiastic. Always smiling, she is not afraid to face or challenge any opponent on the court : driving, crossing and taking 3 points shoots when it is needed. An extraordinary discipline for her young age, always battle for her team, she carries the charisma and leadership of her team, she is a discrete and smart point guard. Ntomb possesses a very high IQ, and we were not surprised to see her nominated for the MVP of the year 2019 in the central region. From the point of view of experts in the field, she and Myriam Guilobo deserved to be a tie.
