Select prospects from NBA Academies in India, China and Africa have concluded the NBA Academies Training Camp in New York. Three prospects from The NBA Academy Africa took part in the camp: Marouf Moumine (Cameroon), Dick Rutatika Sano (Rwanda) and Kiir Kiir Deng (South Sudan).

The NBA Academy prospects started their U.S. trip with a training session on the practice court at the Barclays Center, before heading to the NBA Store on Fifth Avenue where they collected their customized jerseys. This was just a beginning of an exciting week during which the players got to participate in scrimmages against Long Island Lutheran JV at Madison Square Garden in New York City as well as against Loomis Chafee JV in Windsor, Connecticut and practice at Providence College in Providence, Rhode Island.

The highlight of the trip were two NBA games the prospects attended while in New York after which they got a chance to interact with NBA players. The Brooklyn Nets hosted the New York Knicks at Barclays Center in Brooklyn on January 25 with the Knicks hosting the Miami Heat at Madison Square Garden in Manhattan on January 27.

The young prospects are now in Rhode Island where they compete in exhibition games and watch The NBA Academy Latin America team compete in the National Prep School Invitational.
